Description:AFTER ENTERING THE TRUCK, I CLOSED THE DOOR, PUT ON MY SEAT BELT, STARTED THE ENGINE AND PUT THE TRUCK INTO FORWARD GEAR. I NOTICED THE \"DRIVER DOOR AJAR\" ALERT AND TRIED TO CLOSE IT AGAIN. THE LATCH DID NOT ENGAGE AT ALL. THE TEMPERATURE WAS A LITTLE BELOW FREEZING, MAYBE 25 DEGREES F. I LET THE TRUCK WARM UP, PLAYED WITH THE ELECTRONIC LOCKING BUTTONS AND AFTER 10 MINUTES OR SO, I GOT THE LATCH TO WORK. THIS HAPPENED AGAIN THE NEXT DAY AND EVEN USING A TORCH TO WARM THE DOOR, IT STILL TOOK AT LEAST 15 MINUTES BEFORE I COULD GET THE LATCH TO ENGAGE. I FOUND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ON THE INTERNET FOR THIS PROBLEM, INCLUDING SOME ACCOUNTS IN WHICH THE LATCH DISENGAGED WHILE DRIVING! THIS IS EXTREMELY SCARY AND VERY DANGEROUS. I BELIEVE THIS IS A WELL-KNOWN AND DOCUMENTED PROBLEM THAT IS SEVERE ENOUGH TO WARRANT A RECALL. IT COULD CERTAINLY LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT AND POTENTIALLY A LOSS OF CONTROL WITH POTENTIALLY LETHAL RESULTS.
